Donnerstag 7.11.2019 – Bereits um 7.00 Uhr sind wir im Marox zum Frühstück. Felix Magnangou kommt auch dorthin und gemeinsam fahren wir zur Prefäktur, der Kommunalverwaltung der Region Kara, wo wir um 9.00 Uhr einen Termin beim Prefäkten haben. Ein großer Wartesaal ist voll besetzt, mit Leuten die einen Termin haben. Wir werden in einen Sitzungssaal geführt, zum Glück klimatisiert, denn wir warten 1,5 Stunden um zu erfahren, dass er im Moment keine Zeit hat und wir können unverrichterter Dinge wieder gehen.
Über unwegsame Wege fahren wir nach Gnekereda, wo das ABCN in unserem Auftrag einen Kindergarten bzw. Vorschule gebaut hat. Die Togohilfe Donzdorf hatte dort vor Jahren schon eine Schule gebaut. Insgesamt werden in den Klassenzimmern 280 Schüler unterrichtet. Im vergangenen Jahr kam die Anfrage nach einem zusätzlichen Raum, da die Vorschul – Kinder in einem einfachen Apatam untergebracht waren.
Das neue Gebäude ist sehr solide gebaut und schon beim eintreten fällt einem das angenehme Klima auf, dass durch das isolierte Sandewich – Dach entsteht.
Die anwesenden Lehrer bedanken sich für den Bau und hoffen weiterhin auf gute Zusammenarbeit. Zwei der Kinder weinen fürchterlich, da sie Angst vor den „Jovos“ haben. Da ich keine 42 Tütchen mit Gummibären habe verteile ich an die Kinder jeweils ein Gummibärchen – strahlende Kinder blicken auf die kleine Süssigkeit in ihrer Hand. Nach einer kurzen Diskussionsrunde fahren wir weiter nach Kpinzinde. Dort befindet sich ein Dispensaire, in dem wir seit diesem Jahr 2 Hebammen finanzieren. Monatlich kommen dort 5 – 12 Kinder zur Welt. Etwa 2000 Personen nehmen jährlich an Familienplanungsseminaren teil.
Außerdem werden in dem Dispensaire, das schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist, Patienten mit Malaria, Magen – Darm – Erkrankungen, kleinere Infekte und Wunden behandelt. Seit einem Monat ist dort ein neuer Krankenpfleger angestellt. In Togo ist es so, dass die Mitarbeiter im ersten Jahr keinen Lohn bekommen – unvorstllbar für uns- trotz allem macht der Mann einen sehr engagierten Eindruck. Er schildert uns die Situation mit defekter Brunnenpumpe und kaputten Stromleitungen. In den Gebäuden selbst gibt es kein fließend Wasser – es muss vom Brunnen geholt werden.
Ziemlich geschafft kommen wir gegen 14.30 Uhr ins Hotel zurück, denn das Thermometer steht kurz vor 40 Grad und auch die Straßenverhältnisse machen uns sehr zu schaffen. Sehr engagiert diskutieren wir über das gesehene und den weiteren Ablauf unserer Reise.
Gegen 17.00 Uhr fahren wir wieder zu Marox zum Abendessen. Dort treffen wir Felix Magnagou nochmals um uns von ihm zu verabschieden. Bei seiner Abschlußrede betont er, dass es sehr wichtig ist, dass wir weiterhin die Region Togo und vor allem die Kinder und Jugendlichen unterstützen, denn sie sind die Zukunft Togos. Nach einem leckeren Abendessen bei dem wir wieder viel diskutieren gehts zurück ins Hotel. Wir wollen heute zeitig ins Bett, denn morgen früh starten wir um 4.00 Uhr zurück nach Kpalime. Gegen 11.00 Uhr soll der Container in Kpalime eintreffen und beim Entladen wollen wir dabei sein.
